Al Sharpton Demands Federal Investigation Of Zimmerman: Martin Family Always Had A 'Plan B'

Al Sharpton told Meet the Press host David Gregory Sunday morning about his plans to pursue civil rights charges against George Zimmerman, following the latter's verdict acquittal Saturday night for the murder of Trayvon Martin.

"Clearly there are grounds for a civil rights charges," Sharpton told Gregory.

Sharpton, a key figure in metastasizing the shooting into a national issue in March of 2012, said he and Martin's family had planned from the beginning to ask for a federal investigation if Zimmerman was let go.

"The mother and father of Trayvon Martin and I with their lawyers met with the U.S. attorneys in Florida, the day I went down to organize the first rally there," Sharpton said. "We always said there needed to be a Plan B, but there needed to be a Plan A."

"I watched the whole trial, and no one can say what Trayvon Martin did wrong," Sharpton argued. "'They always get away with it,' the gentleman said. Who is they getting away with what? That's the basis of a civil rights trial."

"Was this not a fair trial?" Gregory asked.

"The trial happened," Sharpton said. "The verdict came in. That does not exhaust the legal options of this family, and the bigger community issue of civil rights. We now have a position on the books in the state of Florida where an unarmed teenager who committed no crime can be killed and the killer can say self-defense. That is dangerous...I think every American ought to be afraid that my child can do nothing wrong and can be killed and you can use self-defense and tell four or five different stories that end up being inconsistent and still walk away."

Gregory continued to press Sharpton over whether he believed Zimmerman got a fair hearing. "You disagree with the verdict, but you don't question that it was a fair trial," he said. "If you wanted him to have a day in court, that happened. That part of the process worked."

"There could have been some things done differently at trial," Sharpton admitted. "But the real object now is to move forward on dealing with the state law and civil rights."

Sharpton referenced a march he and Martin Luther King Jr.'s grandson would be having in honor of the anniversary of Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech. "How do we have this country deal with Dr. King's dream fifty years later, and you can't walk an innocent child through a neighborhood without the child being harmed, let alone killed?" Sharpton asked.

Despite the potential futility of such an effort, Stein stressed that it's "a good fight that's worth doing" for the betterment of future generations.

Survivalism is a movement of individuals or groups (called survivalists or preppers) who are actively preparing for emergencies as well as possible disruptions in social or political order, on scales ranging from local to international. People who are not part of survivalist groups or apolitically oriented religious groups also make preparations for emergencies. These preparations can be as simple as following Red Cross and U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recommendations by keeping a first aid kit, shovel, and extra clothes in the car, or by maintaining a small kit of emergency supplies, containing emergency food, water, a space blanket, and other essentials.

Ten-year old cystic fibrosis patient Sarah Murnaghan captured the nation's attention when federal bureaucrats imposed a de facto death sentence on her by refusing to modify the rules governing organ transplants. The rules in question forbid children under 12 from receiving transplants of adult organs. Even though Sarah's own physician said she was an excellent candidate to receive an adult organ transplant, government officials refused to even consider modifying their rules.

Fortunately, a federal judge intervened so Sarah received the lung transplant. But the welcome decision in this case does not change the need to end government control of organ donations and repeal the federal ban on compensating organ donors.

Supporters of the current system claim that organ donation is too important to be left to the marketplace. But this is nonsensical: if we trust the market to deliver food, shelter, and all other necessities, why should we not trust it to deliver healthcare—including organs?

It is also argued that it is "uncompassionate" or "immoral" to allow patients or insurance companies to provide compensation to donors. But one of the reasons the waiting lists for transplants is so long, with many Americans dying before receiving a transplant, is because of a shortage of organs. If organ donors, or their heirs, where compensated for donating, more people would have an incentive to become organ donors.

Those who oppose allowing patients to purchase organs should ask themselves how compassionate is it to allow those people to die on the transplant waiting list who might otherwise have lived if they were able to obtain organs though private contracts.

Some are concerned that if organ donations were supplied via the market instead of through government regulation, those with lower incomes would be effectively denied access to donated organs. This ignores our current two-tier system for allocating organs, as the wealthy can travel overseas for transplants if they cannot receive a transplant in America. Allowing the free market to alleviate the shortage of organs and reduce the costs of medial procedures like transplants would benefit the middle class and the poor, not the wealthy.

The costs of obtaining organs would likely be covered by most health insurance plans, thus reducing the costs directly borne by individual patients. Furthermore, if current federal laws distorting the health care market are repealed, procedures such as transplants would be much more affordable. Expanded access to health savings accounts and flexible savings accounts, combined with generous individual tax deductions and credits, would also make it easier for people to afford health care procedures such as transplants.

There is also some hypocrisy in the argument against allowing market forces in organ transplants. Everyone else involved in organ transplantation procedures, including doctors, nurses, and even the hospital janitor, receives compensation. Not even the most extreme proponent of government-provided health care advocates forcing medical professionals to provide care without compensation. Hospitals and other private intuitions provide compensation for blood and plasma donations, and men and women are compensated for donations to fertility clinics, so why not allow compensation for organ donation?

Sarah Murnaghan's case shows the fallacy in thinking that a free-market system for organ donations is less moral or less effective than a government-controlled system. It is only the bureaucrats who put adherence to arbitrary rules ahead of the life of a ten-year old child. It is time for Congress to wake up and see that markets work better in all aspects of health care, including organ donation, just as they work better in providing all other goods and services.

The maneuvers are the latest in series of surprise military checks which performed by Russia, in an effort to reveal and oust flaws in the country’s defense program. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu received an order to test the battle readiness of the Eastern command, which unites military forces in the Far East and Trans-Baikal. The request was received from President Vladimir Putin at 01:00 local time (21:00 GMT) on Saturday, July 13.

Unorthodox ufologist Norio Hayakawa presented his views and research on UFOs, clandestine government activities, and the mysterious Dulce, New Mexico area, rumored to house an underground base. The state of New Mexico itself has been a hotbed of paranormal and UFO activity going back to 1947, he reported. Starting with the Roswell Incident, "the year 1947 was the beginning of a conditioning of belief systems...carefully orchestrated for future events," he commented.

He believes the Roswell crash was staged "by an unknown intelligence" in collusion with an elite part of the US government. UFOs are neither flying nor objects, but rather part of an intelligence that co-exists with us and has the ability to materialize, he explained.

Hayakawa was one of the first to bring Project Bluebeam to public attention in his 1995 documentary video Secrets of Dreamland, which suggested that a covert government would have sufficient technology to artificially simulate a UFO threat in order to bring about a forced global unity.

Regarding Dulce, he has not found direct physical evidence for an underground base there, yet, there have been many strange reports and sightings in the area which encompasses the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. "I think there's a reality on another level that we may not be able to see with our physical eyes" and a base could exist at Dulce in a non-physical realm, he shared.

Norio Hayakawa calls himself an unorthodox ufologist and activist. He has spent almost 10 years specifically investigating Area 51 in Nevada. Though he conceded that major calamities may not happen in 2012, he foresees that within the next few years 2/3 of the Earth's population will die, but some of this may be averted, including a third World War, if we shift our consciousness.

In 1785, the order was infiltrated, broken up and suppressed by the government agents of Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria, in his preemptive campaign to neutralize the threat of secret societies ever becoming hotbeds of conspiracies to overthrow the Bavarian monarchy and its state religion, Roman Catholicism.[36]

In the late 18th century, reactionary conspiracy theorists, such as Scottish physicist John Robison and French Jesuit priest Augustin Barruel, began speculating that the Illuminati survived their suppression and became the masterminds behind the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror. The Illuminati were accused of being subversives who were attempting to secretly orchestrate a revolutionary wave in Europe and the rest of the world in order to spread the most radical ideas and movements of the Enlightenment — anti-clericalism, anti-monarchism, and anti-patriarchalism — and create a world noocracy and cult of reason.

During the interwar period of the 20th century, fascist propagandists, such as British revisionist historian Nesta Helen Webster and American socialite Edith Starr Miller, not only popularized the myth of an Illuminati conspiracy but claimed that it was a subversive secret society which serves the Jewish elites that supposedly propped up both finance capitalism and Soviet communism in order to divide and rule the world. American evangelist Gerald Burton Winrod and other conspiracy theorists within the fundamentalist Christian movement in the United States — which emerged in the 1910s as a backlash against the principles of Enlightenment secular humanism, modernism, and liberalism — became the main channel of dissemination of Illuminati conspiracy theories in the U.S. Right-wing populists, such as members of the John Birch Society, subsequently began speculating that some collegiate fraternities (Skull and Bones), gentlemen's clubs (Bohemian Club) and think tanks (Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission) of the American upper class are front organizations of the Illuminati, which they accuse of plotting to create a New World Order through a one-world government.

Population control

Conspiracy theorists believe that the New World Order will also be implemented through the use of human population control in order to more easily monitor and control the movement of individuals.[5] The means range from stopping the growth of human societies through reproductive health and family planning programs, which promote abstinence, contraception and abortion, or intentionally reducing the bulk of the world population through genocides by mongering unnecessary wars, through plagues by engineering emergent viruses and tainting vaccines, and through environmental disasters by controlling the weather (HAARP, chemtrails), etc. Conspiracy theorists argue that globalists plotting on behalf of a New World Order are neo-Malthusians who engage in overpopulation and climate change alarmism in order to create public support for coercive population control and ultimately world government.

World War 3 Scenarios & Military Technology

William B. Scott for a discussion about possible World War III scenarios and the latest in military technology. He described one possible scenario in which North Korea launches a missile to knock out space satellites. This could also involve an electromagnetic pulse that damages circuitry on the ground, greatly affecting Americans ability to use ATM and credit cards. Such an attack is "like pouring molasses on society-- everything slows down," he said.

Continuing the scenario, Iran could take advantage of America's satellite loss by launching a nuclear-tipped missile at Israel, and terrorist cells could "spoof" GPS signals to cause airline crashes, he detailed. While no one wants to take the U.S. on in a conventional war, the country is vulnerable to space and cyberspace attacks, and has a lack of policy and infrastructure in dealing with such "asymmetric warfare," he warned.

Scott outlined a number of military technologies that could covertly exist, or are not widely known, including: Blackstar Spaceplane-- A small manned craft carried into high altitude by a larger plane, it could make surprise suborbital journeys around the globe for surveillance or military purposes, as well as possibly launch nano-satellites.
Black Triangles-- Seen by numerous witnesses, these could be military blimps with a hard surface-- a structure that can sit on the ground but contain lighter-than-air gas. These stealthy ships could carry large payloads. Hyper Velocity Missiles-- These so-called "Rods from the Gods," are 6 ft. long rods made out of titanium which if fired from a high altitude would acquire so much kinetic energy they could do as much damage as explosive warheads.

"The Cold War was World War III, which reminds us that not all global conflicts entail the movement of multi-million-man armies, or conventional front lines on a map." In a 2006 interview, U.S. President George W. Bush labeled the ongoing War on Terror as "World War III"

On the July 5, 2011 edition of Fox News' The Big Story, host John Gibson interviewed Michael Ledeen, resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), and said "some are calling the global war on terror something else, something more like World War III." But Ledeen responded that "it's more like World War IV because there was a Cold War, which was certainly a world war." Ledeen added that "probably the start of it [World War IV] was the Iranian revolution of 1979." Similarly, on the May 24, 2011 edition of CNBC's Kudlow and Company, host Lawrence Kudlow, discussing a book by former deputy Under-Secretary of Defense Jed Babbin, said "World War IV is the terror war, and war with China would be World War V.

Video Of Protests and Riots in California After Zimmerman Verdict. Dozens gathered on the streets of Oakland, California in protest hours after a jury acquitted George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin.



Americans angry at the acquittal of George Zimmerman over the death of Trayvon Martin took to the streets in US cities throughout Saturday night, with more protests expected today.

Spontaneous marches of varying sizes erupted in cities including San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, Atlanta and Philadelphia and were largely peaceful, although there were sporadic acts of vandalism.
The protesters appeared to be heeding the advice of officials and others who urged them not to resort to violence.

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson tweeted within minutes of the acquittal: "Avoid violence, it will lead to more tragedies. Find a way for self construction not deconstruction in this time of despair."

Several hundred demonstrators marched peacefully amid a heavy police presence in downtown San Francisco soon after the verdict. Many carried signs with slogans such as "The people say guilty".

Hours later angry protesters marching through Oakland - just across the bay from San Francisco - spray-painted cars and smashed windows, helicopter video footage posted by the Oakland Tribune showed. One vandalised vehicle was a police cruiser.

In Chicago, to the cry of "No justice, no peace! No racist police!" a crowd of activists held a noisy downtown rally, the Chicago Tribune reported, while protesters gathered at Times Square in New York to vent their anger
Los Angeles police declared a "citywide tactical alert" when some 200 demonstrators gathered at a park to demonstrate, but police later told local media that it was as a precaution, and that there had been no acts of violence.

In Washington, dozens of mostly African-American youths marched chanting slogans in a city neighbourhood. They were followed closely by patrol vehicles, one journalist reported.

One Washington protester said: "This shows that our children really are not safe.

"Anybody can do anything to them while they are out there minding their business so I think it's a sad day for our justice system and there needs to be some reform. People really need to think about the decision that was made today."

The decision drew angry shouts from some of the dozens of demonstrators who had gathered on the streets but another protester said the outcome of the trial was expected.
"There is nobody out here that is surprised about what took place this evening. People are disappointed but not surprised," he said.

A crowd of several hundred gathered all day Saturday outside the courthouse in Sanford, Florida -- and many were outraged when the verdict was read.

"It's the end of our justice system," said Ashton Summer, a 20-year-old Puerto Rican. "Justice is not equal for everyone."

The ANSWER coalition, which helped organise large protest rallies during the Iraq war, said it would hold marches Sunday in seven US cities, as well as three separate ones in New York.

Celebrities also reacted. Beyonce called at a Nashville concert for a moment of silence for Martin. Elsewhere, rapper Young Jeezy released a song in Martin's memory and Russell Simmons called for a peace.

Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump acknowledged the disappointment of Trayvon Martin's supporters. However, he said, "for Trayvon to rest in peace, we must all be peaceful".

Author and adventurer Robert Young Pelton discussed the geopolitical situation in various countries such as Afghanistan, his experiences working with private military contractors, and the war trends he currently sees happening. The mistake the US made with Afghanistan was getting into the nation-building business, installing Hamid Karzai as the president, and creating a kind of "kleptocracy," he said. Currently, US soldiers go out and arrest or kill people identified as murderers or terrorists, yet at the same time the Afghan government is working diligently to bring these murderers and terrorists into political power, so it's a no-win situation for the US, he commented.

Regarding, the Benghazi assault in Libya, repeated requests for increased security were turned down by Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, Pelton noted. Then, "instead of admitting that this had been a predictable and expected situation, the State Dept. came up with a ridiculous story about a video that incited these people to riot, even though the actual al-Qaeda insurgents were saying, 'no, that's not why we attacked your Embassy,'" he detailed. The problem with al-Qaeda, he continued, is that they are now spread across the globe like a franchise, and can't be attacked on a single battlefield.

Pelton analyzed the situation in countries such as Russia, and Mexico, as well as various nations in Africa, and how AFRICOM (United States Africa Command) has been deployed. He also talked about how private contractors are often ex-military personnel who discover that they can make more money as a contractor, and won't have to be constrained by military regulations. There has been an increase in the use of proxy forces, where for instance in Uganda, the US hired the Ugandan army to go after the Al-Shabaab terrorists in Somalia, he reported.
