BREAKING: President Obama Has Signed order to begin Spending Cuts which he opposed but failed

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama has signed an order authorizing the government to begin cutting $85 billion from federal accounts, officially enacting across-the-board reductions that he opposed but failed to avert. Obama acted Friday, the deadline for the president and Congress to avoid the steep, one-year cuts. Obama has insisted on replacing the cuts, known as a "sequester" in government budget language, with tax increases and cuts spread out over time. Republicans have rejected any plan that included tax revenue. The government says the reductions will soon result in furlough notices to government employees and will trim government spending on defense contracts and in domestic government programs. Active military personnel and anti-poverty and low-income assistance programs are largely protected from the cuts.

3/1/13 - With no deal ahead of the deadline for the automatic spending cuts to take effect, President Obama held a press conference on Friday — during which he continued to point the finger at Republicans, holding them accountable for lack of progress. Rush Limbaugh grew tired of this reasoning, during his show, criticizing Obama for feigned concern.

The presser and everything Obama said leading up to it has been "narcissistic" and "self-indulgent," Limbaugh asserted, adding, "I've never seen this kind of self-absorption."

"This president stands up there today and he enjoys, folks, reciting the kind of pain Americans are going to feel," he continued. "He is supposed to be doing things to prevent all of this, and yet not only is he not doing things to prevent it, he is encouraging these kinds of hurtful, harmful things to happen so he can blame the Republicans for it."

Contending that Obama's objective is to rid himself of political opposition, the radio host went on to say the president "benefits, politically, career-wise, he benefits from this pain" — so long as the blame is pushed onto someone else.

"There is no real concern for people and their lives," he said. "That's feigned."

Obama's 2012 interview with the Des Moines Register foreshadowed this despite his insisting the automatic cuts weren't his idea, Limbaugh continued. Specifically, he cited the quote in which Obama said: "So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent...we're going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business."

Yet he said the sequester wouldn't happen during a presidential debate, Limbaugh noted — and both statements can't be true. In the Register interview, he concluded, Obama meant what he said.

BREAKING ~ Mount Etna Erupts - 28\2\2013

On the morning of February 28, shortly after 8:20 , the Strombolian activity started again from the Southeast Crater, to be precise from a vent over the saddle between the two cinder cones. Around 09:00 , another mouth , located on top of the cinder cone east, began producing strombolian explosions. The effusive activity at the eruptive fissure placed a few hundred meters to the east from the base of the Southeast Crater cone east of the Southeast ( FeS2 - see map below + Report 25/02_22: 45 ) concluded between the evening of 25 and the morning of the 26th, at a time not precisabile due to bad weather conditions. During the night between 26 and 27 February, faint glow from the interior of the cone summit station, marking the beginning of a new strombolian activity intracraterica. The position of the flare, slightly displaced to the north than those observed during the activity occurred in the last few weeks by strombolian cinder cone located on the southeastern portion of the bottom of the crater of the Bocca Nuova, suggesting the activation of a mouth in a different position to ' interior of the crater depression. Direct observations made ​​on the morning of February 27 by the Alpine Guides of Etna and kindly Refer to a friend by Alfio Mazzaglia, have established that the mouth explosive attivatasi is placed inside the Chasm, close to the remains of the "Aperture" which divides it from Bocca Nuova. The chasm is then entered into eruption after more than 13 years of inactivity. The strombolian explosions have been going on all morning gradually increasing, evidenced by the production of dense gas plumes that rose several hundred meters above the crater. Around 10:30 the strombolian activity has evolved into a fountain of lava producing a small eruptive paroxysm, and remained rather constant (albeit with a slight and temporary decrease between 11:20 and 11:30 ) for about three hours. During the most intense, the plume produced by fontanamento took a darker because of the ash produced and taken over by the eruption plume ( photo below left ). During this stage the other craters produced only degassing, without any eruptive activity. (Source: Alfio Mazzaglia) The intensity of the explosion has been gradually declining from 13:30 or so, returning on a phenomenology similar to that observed during the night, with continuous explosions that during the most energetic events, throwing incandescent material up to 150 meters over the 'crater edge ( photo below right ). The strombolian activity to the Crack went on like that throughout the course of the February 27 and during the following night.

One concern he cited is the danger from nuclear reactors, which could have power knocked out to them in the event of a strong solar storm (which happen around every 70 years). When the reactors' back-up power runs out, there could be multiple nuclear meltdowns, on the level of Fukushima and Chernobyl, he warned. So far, the US government has shown reluctance to spend the money on making the electrical grid less vulnerable.

He advocated that people be prepared to make it for a week or a month on their own, in the event of a disaster. Along with food, some type of water filtration system is crucial, he said, noting that water can actually be disinfected by leaving it in the sun. A head lamp can prove useful in a variety of situations, in which you may have to perform certain tasks in the dark, he said. Stein also suggested that people obtain a colloidal silver generator, as a solution made from this can successfully kill pathogens, and is like having a "pharmacy in a jar."
