Deplorable Radiation Surges & TEPCO Lies More! Fukushima Update 7/23/13
Contaminated water may have leaked in ocean
The operator of the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant acknowledged for the first time that highly-tainted underground water is seeping into the ocean.
Tokyo Electric Power Company has been studying highly radioactive underground water found in monitoring wells facing the Pacific Ocean since May.
TEPCO analyzed water levels inside the wells between January and July. They said a drop in the level suggests the tainted water has likely leaked into the ocean.
Earlier this month, Japan's nuclear regulatory body said it was very likely that contaminated water is leaking into the sea.
TEPCO shows media work to harden soil, halt leak
The operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant has shown the media the work under way to prevent radiation-tainted groundwater from seeping into the sea.
17 reporters and cameramen were guided to the site on Monday evening. Workers, who must wear protective suits and masks, are doing most of the work after sunset to avoid heatstroke.
Tokyo Electric Power Company has been injecting chemicals into soil along the embankment separating the plant site from the ocean to solidify it and prevent further radioactive groundwater from seeping through.
Industry ministry official slams TEPCO
A senior Japanese government official has criticized the operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant for failing to stop radioactive water leaking into the ocean.
Tokyo Electric Power Company officials announced on Monday that new findings suggest tainted water has been leaking into the ocean since April.
Fishermen in Fukushima angry at TEPCO over leak
Fishermen in Fukushima have expressed anger at Tokyo Electric Power Company's acknowledgement on Monday that contaminated underground water is seeping into the ocean.
About 100 fishermen attended a private briefing session on Tuesday by the operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

TEPCO Admits For The First Time Radioactive Water Is Seeping Into The Pacific Ocean
The people at TEPCO can apologize, and apologize, and apologize, and bow, and bow, and bow....
but that does not change the fact that they're killing everyone on this planet.
What they have been dumping in the ocean is so toxic you will die of cancer or radiation poisoning trying to clean it up. If they did something sooner instead of thinking of saving face and thinking of the share holders they now are in a bigger mess. Japan might probably be uninhabitable within a few years
40% of the Whitefish i.e, COD comes from the Northern Pacific.
This very sad fact was common sense from day 1. I highly recommend the avoidance of all consumption of seafood, which might not even be of much help to avoid getting cancer.
You wont need a candle light dinner as your fish will glow.
The lies of the US Gov.
People were taking Geiger counters to the store so government put out this damn lie. I wouldn't buy a US made counter.

US gov’t may raise radiation exposure levels in food, drink, soil
