The official Syrian story is this: Israel bombed a research center where they where examine ultra modern weaponery that they captured from islamist forces. Obviously the Israeli and US wanted to prevent Syria and Russia to get valid data about their equipment supplied to the payed mercenaries. And they wanted to prevent those weapons shown in the media.
