We all know France from the very beginning of history specializes in the separation of nations, so that's one major problem already. Secondly, it's very likely having an outsider in Mali is only going to make things worse before anything can get better. It's a disease across the West I'm afraid, A mixture of ignorance, stupidity, apathy & outright fascism. I have a great interest in history so I know full well what Western regimes are capable of, since there is nothing new under the Sun. Most of the population though do not care to study the past and think that because their life in a Western country is good, then that automatically means their governments activities abroad derive from this sort of 'inherent goodness'.
