Former commodity trading advisor Walter Burien revealed the massive scope of government finance and investments, all funded by U.S. taxpayers, and argued for an alternative path without taxation. There are some 184,000 separate government entities in the US, each with their own assets, and "when you look at collective government, both federal and local, they've taken over the banking industry, the brokerage industry," and corporations that trade on the stock market are 60-85% owned by collective government, he claimed. The public is unaware of this, as there's been a total blackout of information about these collective totals for the last 65 years, he added.

Taxation should be phased out, as the truth is the government's annual investment income is greater than all annual taxation collected, Burien stated. The economic crash was staged with various players walking off with "truckloads of cash" before the balloon was deflated, he explained. States like California that report they're going broke are just trying to maintain this illusion in order to keep the public at bay, he offered. In the first half, investigative reporter Russ Baker spoke about the odd string of "coincidental" historical anniversaries coming up this week that tie in with President Eisenhower's warning about the military-industrial complex (MIC). The MIC refers to the relationship between government, a nation's armed forces, and the industrial firms that supply their equipment. Fifty years ago, on January 17, 1961, Eisenhower warned about the MIC: "We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes."

Eisenhower sensed the problems inherent in the relationship between military and industry, Baker explained, noting how the enterprise serves those involved and does not make the country any safer. He made connections to several anniversaries, including Martin Luther King Day, and the inaugurations of George W. Bush and John F. Kennedy. According to Baker, JFK saw increasing problems with the MIC apparatus, as it was unaccountable, irresponsible, and incompetent. Baker also referenced the recent mysterious death of former pentagon official John Wheeler, as well as Jared Lee Loughner's alleged shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona.

What is scary about this kind of ridiculous legislation that Senator Feinstein is proposing is that while politicians will pat themselves on the back and congratulate themselves if it passes, making them think they've actually done something, very little if anything at all in this law will actually stem the violence in our schools and society. The talk is big now after the Newtown Connecticut Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that killed 20 children and the anti-gun crowd is coming out of the woodwork right now. Anti-gun politicians like Feinstein think their arbitrary inclusion of certain characteristics of a weapon actually constitute a "military style" weapon, therefore there is some kind of danger to society if these guns are sold to the public. But when you consider that a simple pistol grip on a rifle, or a flash suppressor, or a bayonet mount, or a telescoping stock amongst a few other very simple criteria makes an assault weapon in the eyes of those that hate the second amendment, you can see that we really are in danger of losing our right to bear arms as guaranteed by the the United States Constitution. If you read the summary of Feinstein's proposed assault weapons ban on her website which I will link to below, you begin to realize how dangerous this really is. It states right in the first part that it will "Ban the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:...certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more military characteristics." That means if you have a hand gun that that accepts a detachable magazine and has one other military characteristic, it is an assault weapon and it will be illegal to own under this proposed law. So, you liberals still think they aren't coming for our guns?

He described one possible scenario in which North Korea launches a missile to knock out space satellites. This could also involve an electromagnetic pulse that damages circuitry on the ground, greatly affecting Americans ability to use ATM and credit cards. Such an attack is "like pouring molasses on society-- everything slows down," he said.

Continuing the scenario, Iran could take advantage of America's satellite loss by launching a nuclear-tipped missile at Israel, and terrorist cells could "spoof" GPS signals to cause airline crashes, he detailed. While no one wants to take the U.S. on in a conventional war, the country is vulnerable to space and cyberspace attacks, and has a lack of policy and infrastructure in dealing with such "asymmetric warfare," he warned.

Scott outlined a number of military technologies that could covertly exist, or are not widely known, including: Blackstar Spaceplane-- A small manned craft carried into high altitude by a larger plane, it could make surprise suborbital journeys around the globe for surveillance or military purposes, as well as possibly launch nano-satellites. Black Triangles-- Seen by numerous witnesses, these could be military blimps with a hard surface-- a structure that can sit on the ground but contain lighter-than-air gas.
